Volunteers/ Community Service

 

Volunteers:
Groups and individuals donate time to help in preparing, serving, and cleanup after daily meal. These persons are from civic groups, church organizations, business, schools and colleges. Many area schools have programmed volunteer work hours to meet this requirement. Individuals also help in the clothing room, sorting and hanging donated items, as well as, bagging toiletries when available.

Community Service Volunteers:
Adults and youth who are mandated by the court system to donate volunteer hours as a form of restitution may come to the kitchen. These individuals have been sent to us through the Franklin County Court systems, Federal Court system, and other various Mayor’s Courts.
